Steel Challenge
Steel Challenge is the best way to get started in competitive shooting, to have fun, and to improve your shooting skills. It requires participants to rapidly engage targets made from armor plate at relatively close distances. There is no requirement to move while shooting and the rules are very simple: When the buzzer sounds, shoot every target at least once as rapidly as you can. You don’t need a bunch of fancy equipment and most shooters compete with off-the-shelf semi-auto .22LR caliber pistols so the ammo is pretty cheap. Matches are only $10 to enter.
CASA has been sponsoring Steel Challenge matches at CASA since 2005 and currently offers them on the second Saturday of every month. You do not have to be a member of CASA to shoot Steel Challenge. Please come out of shoot with us.
To learn more about Steel Challenge, please visit the SCSA website.

IDPA
CASA attempts to fulfill IDPA’s goals of providing safe application of defensive shooting skills. Our matches combine realistic defensive scenarios with challenging shooting situations. We are lucky to have a facility that has several different types of targets and an area large enough to engage in the full gamut of defensive practical shooting. More important than the place though are the people, and ours are the best. Whether you’re a new, Unclassified shooter or a Distinguished Master, we strive to provide demanding matches that will test and improve your shooting and gun handling ability.
Our matches are generally the 3rd Saturday of each month. Please take a look at the IDPA website for rules and equipment requirements and if you think this is a sport for you, come join us. You do not have to be a CASA member to join us for an IDPA match.
If you would like to submit a IDPA stage for possible use in upcoming matches please download the CASA IDPA Design Template (Microsoft PowerPoint Format). Stages must be submitted to the current IDPA director (email on contacts page) once it is reviewed it will be considered for use in a future match.
